Miss Washington Pageant Appearance
On Saturday, July 1, 2017, JessiKate Riley performed her talent during the final night of the Miss Washington Pageant.
She played a piece titled, “Souvenirs d’Amérique,” by Henri Vieuxtemps. This classical showpiece is based on the melody of “Yankee Doodle.” It is sentimental because it was her talent piece at the Miss America’s Outstanding Teen Pageant. She even received a non-finalist talent award for her performance at MAOT in Orlando.
Her advice to aspiring musicians who don’t love practicing, but love to perform?
“Do your best to make each and every practice session a performance.”
