At-large Contestants Welcomed to Miss Utah Stage, Including New Health & Fitness Phase of Competition

SPANISH FORK, UT (MAR. 2, 2023)  The Miss Utah Scholarship Organization in partnership with the Miss America Organization is now accepting a limited number of at-large contestants to compete for the title of Miss Utah 2023. This change will complement the traditional local or county titleholder opportunity and will allow contestants up to age 28 who are seeking the opportunity to represent the Miss Utah Scholarship Competition. 

At-large contestants will be accepted on a first come, first served basis with limited availability upon confirmation of registration, payment, and eligibility. Registration will close at 11:59pm MST on Thursday, March 23 or when all at-large slots are filled (whichever comes first). In addition to welcoming at-large contestants, the Miss America and Miss Utah Scholarship Programs will also be introducing a new phase to the 2023 scholarship competition: Heath and Fitness, accounting for 20 percent of a contestant’s overall score. Health and Fitness will allow each contestant to demonstrate her commitment to health and wellness initiatives by modeling fitness/athletic wear.
