Miss Utah Competition Preliminary Winners Announced, 2023 Preliminary Results

The 2023 Miss Utah Competition is comprised of 47 contestants that are separated into of three groups. The results below reflect the winners in Overall Talent, Overall Evening Wear, Rookie Talent, and Rookie Evening Wear for all three preliminary competitions: Thursday evening, Friday matinee, and Friday evening. 

Thursday Evening Preliminary Winners

Overall Talent Preliminary Winner: Miss Aspen Hills, Sarah Sun, receiving a $250 scholarship. Sarah is studying music and International Strategy and Diplomacy at Brigham Young University and played the classical piano piece, “La Campanella”.

Overall Evening Wear Winner: Miss North Ogden, Paris Matthews, receiving a $250 scholarship. Paris is a graduate of  Science in Human Development and Family Studies  from the University of Utah.

Rookie Talent Winner: Eagle Mountain, Ella Black, receiving a $200 scholarship. Ella is studying Business Management at Utah Valley University and played the classical piano piece, “Prelude I in Bb Major”.

Rookie Evening County Winner: Miss Weber County, Savannah Lyle receiving a $200 scholarship. Savannah is an Interior Designer certified through the New York Institute of Art and Design.

Friday Matinee Preliminary Winners

Overall Talent Winner: Miss Provo, Glory Thomas, receiving a $250 scholarship. Gloria is studying Experience Design and Management at Brigham Young University and sang the classical vocal to “Nella Fantasia”. 

Overall Evening Wear: Miss Utah County, Jordyn Bristol, receiving a $250 scholarship. Jordyn is a graduate of Utah Valley University with a B.S. in Public Relations and Communications.

Rookie Talent Winner: Miss Weber County, Savannah Lyle receiving a $200 scholarship. Savannah is an Interior Designer certified through the New York Institute of Art and Design. Savannah danced classical ballet en pointe to “Diana Acreon”.

Rookie Evening Gown: Miss Panoramaland Addelyn Brotherson receiving a $200 scholarship. Addelyn is studying Psychology at Utah Tech University.

Friday Evening Preliminary Winners

Overall Talent Winner: Miss Utah County, Jordyn Bristol, receiving a $250 scholarship. Jordyn is a graduate of Utah Valley University with a B.S. in Public Relations and Communications and sang the Broadway vocal, “They Just Keep Moving the Line”. 

Overall Evening Gown Winner: Miss Aspen Hills, Sarah Sun, receiving a $250 scholarship. Sarah is studying Music and International Strategy and Diplomacy at Brigham Young University. 

Rookie Talent Winner: Miss Panoramaland Addelyn Brotherson receiving a $200 scholarship. Addelyn is studying Psychology at Utah Tech University and performed a dance to “Found Tonight”.

Rookie Evening Gown Winner: Miss Rocky Mountain, Alli Fetters, receiving a $200 scholarship. Alli is studying Physiology and Developmental Biology at Brigham Young University.

Miss Utah Events:

Miss Utah events are as follows, held at Capitol Theatre: 

  •   Saturday, June 10: Final Competition – 6 p.m. 

Saturday, June 10: Awards Gala – Immediately following the competition: Our newly crowned Miss Utah will make a statement regarding her community service initiative and her hopes for her titleholder term.
