Miss Utah’s Teen 2023 Results in Review

Jaylynn Lindley, of Salem, was crowned Miss Utah’s Teen on Saturday, February 18, 2023 and awarded a $5,000 scholarship at the Covey Center for the Arts in Provo.

Over the next year, Jaylynn will share her Community Service Initiative, “Find Your Fire,” across the state to inspire people to find their passions in life. She will also represent Utah at the Miss America’s Teen Competition this summer. The sixteen-year-old is a 4.0 student, vice president of her high school’s dance company, student council member, and an aspiring orthopedic surgeon.

Jaylynn also received a preliminary talent award and a $250 scholarship, a preliminary evening gown/social impact award and a $250 scholarship, the 11th Grade Scholastic Achievement Award and a $500 scholarship, the Overall Dancer award and a $300 scholarship sponsored by Tiare Keeno and family, and the overall evening gown and fitness awards. Along with her $6,300 in cash scholarships and the title of Miss Utah’s Teen, Jaylynn also received a two-year, full tuition waiver to Utah Tech University and will receive multiple in-kind donations and services from the proud sponsors of the Miss Utah’s Teen Competition.

  • First Runner-up: Kira Gardner, of Lehi, received a $2,000 scholarship, the 10th Grade Scholastic Achievement Award and a $500 scholarship, the Spirit of Miss Utah’s Teen award and a $150 scholarship, and the Overall Interview award;
  • Second Runner-up: Desiree McKinnon, of Lehi, received a $1,800 scholarship;
  • Third Runner-up: Samantha Weber, of Salem, received a $1,500 scholarship and a preliminary talent award and $250 scholarship;
  • Fourth Runner-up: Alexis Hill, of Mapleton, received a $1,200 scholarship, the 12th Grade Scholastic Achievement award and a $500 scholarship, and the Overall Instrumentalist award and a $300 scholarship.
