Miss Utah Organization Announces New doTERRA STEM Scholarships

Today the Miss Utah Organization (MUO) announced two new doTERRA Excellence in STEM Awards available to contestants competing for the title of Miss Utah 2018. The MUO will announce the two winners of the $500 scholarships during the 2018 Miss Utah pageant.

A state titleholder is eligible if she is enrolled with a declared major field of study in science, technology, engineering, or math at a public or private two-year or four-year college, university, or vocational-technical school. She is also eligible if she has a STEM-related platform that she’s promoted during her year as a local titleholder.

During the week of the 2018 Miss Utah pageant, eligible contestants will interview with a panel of judges working in a STEM-related field. The awards will be given to contestants who have demonstrated excellence in a STEM-related field and their scholastic achievements.

Since 2014, the Miss America Foundation has “developed a solid working relationship with the U.S. Department of Education on STEM education initiatives.” Each year, the Miss America Organization awards three STEM scholarships at the Miss America pageant. The Miss Utah Organization is excited to carry on this tradition at a state level with the help of doTERRA.
