Today The Miss Utah Scholarship Organization announced the panel of judges who will select Miss Utah 2021. The new Miss Utah will receive over $10,000 in scholarships to the school of her choice and sponsorships from a variety of local businesses. She will also represent Utah at the 100th Anniversary Miss America Competition later this year.
Each judge comes with a specific background that will help select the woman who will best represent the Miss Utah Organization. Here is the 2021 Miss Utah Judges Panel:
STEVE PHAN
- Nationally certified sign language interpreter.
- Works at the U.S. Capitol and has had the honor of interpreting a speech on the Senate Floor and the 2009 Presidential Inauguration.
- Sponsors sign language interpreting services at various theaters in the greater Washington D.C. area to ensure communication access for Deaf audiences.
- Has served on the Miss Maryland Scholarship Organization board since 2015.
- Resides in Maryland with his husband.
HANNAH BOHN
- Product specialist and presenter on the National Auto Show Circuit and right seat driver and product educator for the Lincoln Motor Company.
- Has trained in multiple styles of dance including classical ballet, pointe, lyrical, jazz, contemporary, and more, for 25 years.
- Served as Miss Illinois 2011 and placed as a Top 10 Finalist at the Miss America 2012 Pageant.
- Entering her eighth year as on the production staff for the Miss Illinois Scholarship organization as the head choreographer for both the Miss and Teen divisions.
- Lives in Illinois with her husband and their two miniature dachshunds, Leia and Bernie.
RANDY E. PRUETT
- Senior Vice President of Cooksey Communications, a Texas-based public relations firm where he counsels corporate executives on brand awareness, reputation management, crisis communications, and public advocacy.
- An Accredited Business Communicator, A Certified Association Executive, and has been honored as “Dallas’ Communicator of the Year.”
- Previously served on the Miss Texas Scholarship Organization’s Board of Directors as Associate Producer, Judges Coordinator, and Historian.
- Resides in Dallas, Texas.
RACHAEL SCOTT
- Native of Hot Springs, Arkansas.
- Graduated from Belmont University with a degree in entertainment industry studies.
- After working at modeling agencies in Nashville and Los Angeles, she moved back to Arkansas and began a real estate career.
- Is currently an executive broker at Newmark Moses Tucker Partners, where she is the Director of Residential Sales and Leasing.
- Lives in Little Rock, Arkansas.
JASON T. ROBINSON
- Born in Brooklyn, New York and grew up in Orangeburg, South Carolina.
- Educator who has received many awards for innovative teaching strategies.
- Has worked as a reporter and correspondent for The Heritage Newspapers in Michigan and The Times and Democrat in South Carolina, and he was recently published in USA Today.
- Singer and musician who has performed at the Lincoln Center in New York City.
- Began his career as a Miss America volunteer in 2009 as the executive director of a local competition in Virginia.

The Miss Utah Competition begins Thursday, June 10, 2021 and culminates with the crowning of Miss Utah 2021 on Saturday, June 12, 2021.
Voting for People’s Choice is now open on Pageant Planet. The winner will compete as a Top 12 semi-finalist at the 2021 Miss Utah Scholarship Competition.
