Miss Spanish Fork and Miss Timpanogos received preliminary awards for the highest scores in the Lifestyle and Fitness in Swimsuit and Talent competitions during the third night of The Miss Utah 2018 Scholarship Pageant.
Lifestyle and Fitness in Swimsuit Preliminary Winner
Miss Spanish Fork, Dexonna Talbot, was the preliminary Lifestyle and Fitness in Swimsuit winner. She received a $100 scholarship for her award. Talbot is studying ballet at the University of Utah. Her platform is called, “Servesteem.”
Talent Preliminary Winner
Miss Timpanogos, Jesse Craig, was the preliminary Talent winner for her violin performance of, “Misirlou and the Bee.” She received a $100 scholarship for her award. Craig is a graduate of the University of Utah with honors. Her platform is called, “Get Up and Serve: Increasing Young Adult Involvement.”
Sadie Huish Memorial Scholarship
Miss Orem, Amanda Flinders, received the Sadie Huish Memorial Scholarship Award in memory of Sadie Huish, a girl that was chosen to represent Eagle Mountain in the Little Miss Utah Program but became too ill to participate. Sadie passed away on June 25, 2009. Each year, her family chooses the contestant they feel has achieved the most with their service platform. She receives a $1,000 scholarship for her award.
UVU Service Scholarship
For the second year, Utah Valley Universtiy recognized one contestant that has demonstrated a positive impact in the community through their platform.
Miss Cache Valley, Emily Robinson, received a $1,000 scholarship to the school of her choice and $1,000 to the charity of her choice. Her platform is called, “Beauty Redefined.” Watch her video entry below.
