Miss Springville/Mapleton, Miss Greater Salt Lake, and Miss Weber County received preliminary awards during the final preliminary of the Miss Utah Scholarship Competition held at the Capitol Theatre on June 10, 2022.
Miss Zion and Miss Rocky Mountain also received preliminary newcomer awards during the competition.
Preliminary Talent Winner
Adalynn Keisel, Miss Springville/Mapleton, won the preliminary talent competition and will receive a $100 scholarship. Adalynn performed a fiddle solo to “Devil Went Down to Georgia.” She is studying esthetics at the Skin Science Institute.
Preliminary Red Carpet Winners
Katie Ann Powell, Miss Greater Salt Lake, and Callie Morgan, Miss Weber County, tied for the preliminary red carpet award. Katie Ann is a graduate of Brigham Young University with a degree in public relations and Portuguese, University of Utah non-matriculated harp performance. Callie is studying political science at Weber State University. Both will receive a $100 scholarship.
Newcomer Talent Winner
Jordyn Bristol, Miss Zion, won the preliminary newcomer talent award and will receive a $100 scholarship. She performed a Broadway vocal solo to “Gimme Gimme” from Hello Dolly. Jordyn is studying public relations, strategic communications, and marketing at Utah Valley University.
Newcomer Red Carpet Winner
Chelsey Carlson, Miss Rocky Mountain, won the preliminary newcomer red carpet award and will receive a $100 scholarship. She is studying communications at Utah Valley University.
