Miss Eagle Mountain and Miss Zion received preliminary awards during the second preliminary of The Miss Utah Scholarship Competition held at the Capitol Theatre on June 10, 2022.
Miss American Fork and Miss Pleasant Grove also received preliminary newcomer awards during the competition.
Overall Preliminary Winners
Talent Preliminary Winner
Miss Eagle Mountain, Rachel Mortensen was the overall preliminary talent winner and will receive a $100 scholarship. Rachel performed “Scherzo No.1 Op. 20” by Chopin on the piano. She is studying business and nutrition at Brigham Young University.
Red Carpet Preliminary Winner
Miss Zion, Jordyn Bristol was the overall preliminary red carpet winner and will receive a $100 scholarship. Jordyn is studying public relations, strategic communications, and marketing at Utah Valley University.
Newcomer Preliminary Winners
Newcomer Talent Preliminary Winner
Miss American Fork, Aubrey Moedl was the newcomer talent preliminary winner and will receive a $100 scholarship. Aubrey is studying neuroscience and gerontology at Brigham Young University.
Newcomer Red Carpet Preliminary Winner
Miss Pleasant Grove, Haylie Howe was the newcomer red carpet preliminary winner and will receive a $100 scholarship. Haylie is studying design and management at Brigham Young University.
